KCFW 2017

Kansas City Fashion Week 2017

It was my first time participating in KCFW and it was a dream!  I had the pleasure of walking for Barbara Bultman and her designs are absolutely amazing! The outfit I wore...there are no words to describe it, other than perfection!  I met so many amazing people; from hair and makeup to photographers, made many new friends and shared this exciting night with old friends too. This was an experience I will never forget!  Thank you to everyone who made this night one for the books! Stephanie Rohr, you are the bomb!

Designer: Barbara Bultman Designs, St. Louis MO
HMU: WAX: Beauty and Barbour Factory (Jay Hefner, Jhonatan Sierra Leon, Erin Dellasega)
Photographers: Jason Atherton of Atherton Photography, Jonny Hackett of No. 9 Photography, Eli Stack, Chuck Mason, and Ryan Swartzlander and Kansas City Fashion Week.

Kansas City Fashion Week

Kansas City Fashion Week! Really, that's all I have to say! This year was a bit different...I have always had a "date" as in a bestie going with me but this year, a man date! And this guy loves fashion about as much as I do.  Front row, VIP seats and an awesome show made this year very exciting. Friday night included some amazing designs and although I wasn't able to attend the show Saturday night, I was invited to an after-party by one of the designers.  His name, Christian Micheal, a local KC guy, who designs a line of men's wear that is runway stunning.  I was fortunate to meet Christian pre-fashion week to purchase one of his amazing ties for my date...I thought it was pretty genius and the perfect accessory.

Let the outfit planning begin, it had to be on point...let's be real...have you met me? So over coffee and many discussions on colors, we decided I needed to find my attire first.  I found the perfect Navy Blue dress with side and back cut-outs...so I asked Christian, what shoe color? I was struggling with that. Black, definitely black.  Perfect. I found a classic black pair of Calvin Klein pumps.  The tie was chosen based on the dress color and then his outfit went from there.  Typing about this still makes me so happy, because, not to brag or anything, but I had the best looking date there.  Someone who I once told, "You are the first person to challenge my wardrobe"....challenge accepted.  Did I mention, CM is working a women's line? I just died and went to heaven!

Friday night meant staying close to Union Station where Fashion Week is held, so Hotel Sorella on the Plaza it was. Modern, Bright, Cheery and the perfect place to stay overnight...they have an amazing bar and happy hour and let's not forget breakfast the next morning.  Best calamari ever.

KCFW never disappoints and this year was amazing.  I ran into a lot of people I know from other events and it was nice to mingle with local friends of the Fashion World in fantastic Kansas City! I am already looking for forward to the Fall show which will include Spring Fashion...and you can bet it'll be front row all the way!

~ Glam Gals KC ~

It just so happened that Glam Gals KC was hosting an event on none other than my Birthday! And since I know one of the gals who set Glam Gals into motion, Jana, I just had to attend!  Food, Fashion, Makeup, and Hair for the Holidays!  Besides that, they had the most amazing set-up for a photo-op with your friends or even striking a pose solo. The hot pink chair and gold poof was perfection!

We were greeted with cranberry cocktails and each glass was adorned with gold sugar.  From a wide variety of amazing cheeses and crackers to spinach dip, cupcakes, decadent truffles, strawberries and more drinks, the afternoon was a perfect way to see the hottest trends for this holiday season while shopping jewelry and clothing...what more could a girl want!!

Not to mention, the swag bags each ticket holder received had some of the most amazing samples of products, cute aviators sunglasses, a Glam Gals KC cork coaster and much more!

I am looking forward to their next event!

Summit Fair Fashion Show w/ Jana Style

My experience with the Summit Fair Fashion Show was amazing. Working with Jana was so much fun, she is the sweetest person and made sure the show was a success, even with the rain that day!  The day started with hair and make-up done by Beauty Brands of Summit Fair in Lee's Summit, Missouri.  There is nothing like sitting in front of one of the large makeup mirrors, all lit up, pretending to be famous... :)  No but for real, I need these people in my life daily!  It was so relaxing to get all dolled up for the show! I had two looks for the day and Jana did awesome at picking out what I was going to wear!  Macy's provided the clothing and they were spot on!

Make up done by Michelle Adams of Beauty Brands of Lee's Summit at Summit Fair. She is awesome!  I am now addicted to Anastasia of Beverly Hills Beauty Express for Brows and Eyes!
