Macy's Beauty Scene

When I was asked to attend the Macy's Beauty Scene and learn some of the hottest beauty looks for Fall, how could I say no?! Lisa Murie of the The Blog Guild of Kansas City invited me to this event and I couldn't have been more honored!  Not only did I get to have my make-up done, what girl doesn't love that, but also met some amazing people and I am able to share the products that were used on me with you!

This event was held at Macy's in the Towne Center Plaza in Leawood, Kansas.  I went in fresh-faced, which meant no make-up, and was introduced to Hikmeta, my make-up artist for the day! She started by asking my skin type and choosing products that would best fit me.  Today I was going to be made up using Bare Minerals Make-up. Hikmeta used warm colors that are perfect for Fall and Winter with a soft lip stain. I currently use a few products by Bare Minerals, but after today, I will definitely be adding to my collection.  I loved so many of the products that I didn't even know existed!

Thank you Macy's and the Beauty Team for sharing new and awesome Fall Make-Up Looks!!

Winter Blues

Royal blue is one of my favorite colors and this year I was on a mission to find the perfect winter jacket. I had that vision of what I wanted...you all know what I am talking about.  When I shop, I usually know exactly what I want and can walk into a store, look around and within about 5 minutes know if that perfect piece is there!

I haven't bought a new winter jacket, a nice one, for a years...and I am not even joking.  And with swimsuit season right around the corner, I knew now would be the perfect time to. One word, sales! I hit up Macy's first because they usually have a great selection of different designers, colors, styles, etc.  It took me about 15 minutes to find the style I wanted and of course I went straight to the Michael Kors section because well, let's be real, he's my fav!  Not to mention, the quality is there and I know I would be able to have this piece for years.  I went back and forth on color for about 10 seconds, then I saw the blue, with gold hardware, and done.  I think I almost fainted!

I had a little help from my Mom to find the right size, but she did it! Let's just say the extra-small I tried on first and not to mention had a hold of like people do things on Black Friday...nobody is getting their hands on this, was a tad too small in the shoulders.  So you can imagine me, looking around frantically for a small...but she saved the day, they had one! Whew! Half off the original price and did you know that Macys always has coupons online, so another $20 off, just by googling, I love to google!

This jacket is perfection! Royal blue, wool, gold hardware, belt...I am drooling right now and I already own it. Whether you are a North Face kind of girl or a Michael Kors kind of girl or both, now is the time to buy!  It's goes perfectly with the MK watch too :) Told you, he is my favorite!

Happy Shopping!

Summit Fair Fashion Show w/ Jana Style

My experience with the Summit Fair Fashion Show was amazing. Working with Jana was so much fun, she is the sweetest person and made sure the show was a success, even with the rain that day!  The day started with hair and make-up done by Beauty Brands of Summit Fair in Lee's Summit, Missouri.  There is nothing like sitting in front of one of the large makeup mirrors, all lit up, pretending to be famous... :)  No but for real, I need these people in my life daily!  It was so relaxing to get all dolled up for the show! I had two looks for the day and Jana did awesome at picking out what I was going to wear!  Macy's provided the clothing and they were spot on!

Make up done by Michelle Adams of Beauty Brands of Lee's Summit at Summit Fair. She is awesome!  I am now addicted to Anastasia of Beverly Hills Beauty Express for Brows and Eyes!
