Springtime Flowers!

I love to plant flowers in the springtime. Something about the bright colors all mixed together just put a smile on my face!  I am by no means a "professional" when it comes to planting, but I often do a random mix of different types of flowers because I like that look.  From hanging baskets to front porch pretties, here are some recent pots I planted.  I used flowers such as Techno Heat Violets, Cherry Red Superbells, Tricolor Perilla for height in my larger planters, Sun Patients in Salmon and Pink Flash, Orange Tuberous Begonia's, and Surfinia Wild Plum.  I really just stroll the nursery and pick out the colors I love and styles that I think will look good together!  It's all up to you how to arrange the flowers. I just lay them all out and see what looks good and go from there!!  I use a good potting soil mix that I usually buy from the nursery and make sure to water them regularly! Potted plants can dry out quickly so make sure they don't get thirsty and they will stay vibrant all summer long!

The Vintage House

I recently was invited to a Stella and Dot party being held at the most adorable little house, The Vintage House.  This cute little shabby chic house is family owned and is available for parties, weddings, baby showers, bridal showers, or even a birthday party.  I fell in love with this place.  From the front porch to the back deck, I wanted to just pick this cute little house up and move it somewhere and stay there forever!  The colors are tranquil and the décor is perfection.  The house will hold up to 30 people or 45 if the outdoor patio is used.  The property is located at 7612 W 80th St, Overland Park, KS 66204 and is located close to many restaurants, coffee shops, and the downtown Overland Park Farmers Market.  Check them out of Facebook, The Vintage House. 

 

Nani Nalu Swimwear

The moment I stepped into this swimwear store, I was in love!  Nani Nalu is located at the Plaza in KC and offers some of the most gorgeous swimwear I have ever seen.  Made for all sizes and shapes, this is the place to buy your next swimsuit, cover-up, or a piece of beach inspired jewelry.  I recently had the opportunity to wear their swimwear for a local KC segment on the Fox 4 Morning Show.  The color was HOT pink with cut-outs and was super cute!
